AWARD/SCHOLARSHIP RECIEVED:
13 Sep 2006-2010: The Commission on Higher Education on behalf of the Royal Thai government supported for the PhD studying at the University of Manchester, Manchester, UNITED KINGDOM
- Thesis title: An alternative mechanism by which the Notch signal is induced via the endocytic pathway
17 July2002-22July2004: The Australian Government offered the Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) to study in master of biotechnology at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Queensland, AUSTRALIA

3-22 September 2001: The Korean Government by the Korea International Coorporation Agency (KOICA) supported for participating in" the international training in tuberculosis control" at Soul, KOREA
1997-1998: The Thai Government via the Ministry of University Affairs funded for studying in master of physiology at Mahidol University, THAILAND
- Thesis title: Relationship between serum and salivary cortisol in Thai healthy subjects during some physiological conditions
1994-1995: The Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, THAILAND provided the tuition fee waivers during the first year of studying in the master of physiology
TEACHING AREA:
- Anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory systems
AREA OF EXPERTISE
- Cellular and Molecular Physiology: Neurobiology, developmental and cancer neurobiology, neuroscience, cell signaling pathway, Notch, endocytic trafficking of proteins
RESEARCH INTEREST:
My ongoing projects are to study the mechanisms of some natural products and protein trafficking inhibitors on the growth and apoptosis of human neuroblastoma (NB) and glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). This is to help us advance our knowledge into the causes of brain cancer. However, other cancers including breast and cervical cancers are also of my interests. I am also investigating the role of Notch signalling in the regulation of growth and development using both several human cell lines and Drosophila as a model.
RESEARCH TECHNIQUES: I am competent in the following techniques:
1. Molecular biology techniques:
- DNA & RNA isolation and analysis by conventional PCR & quantitative PCR
- Cloning & DNA sequencing etc.
2. Protein extraction and analysis by Western blot
3. Cell imaging: Use of fluorescence microscope for tracking of the routes of protein trafficking
4. Flow cytometry for cell cycle and apoptosis analysis
5. Drosophila and mammalian cell culture
6. Drosophila fly pushing
